How has Israel played a part in your personal Jewish identity?
Being an Israeli has completely shaped my Jewish Identity. As an Israeli, I see my Judaism as my nationality: It is part of my culture, my history, the Hebrew language that I speak, and also my religion.

Who was the educator who most influenced your path to Jewish education?Describe the effect that they had on you.
My mother, who is a preschool director in Israel, is the one who first introduced me to education, and instilled a love for teaching. She taught me that teaching should be experiential and engaging, often utilizing emotions and sensations, while emphasizing “hands on” activities.

If you had the ability to build the landscape of Jewish education, what would it look like? - in 140 characters or less.
Make the classroom experience less formal, more dynamic and imaginative. Each school would have a Hebrew Immersion program. Field trips and excursions as part of the curriculum.

What are you looking forward to most in the InCiTE Fellowship?
Learn new techniques and methods to reach American youth and teach them about Israel in a way that will speak to them.
