Who is the educator that influenced you the most?
My seventh grade science teacher, Mr. Pecararo. He utilized the Socratic method of teaching better than anyone I have ever seen and instilled a commitment to self-discovery and motivation through education.

Describe your ideal Jewish landscape.
Dr. Eilon Schwartz, founder of the Heschel Center for Environmental Learning and Leadership in Israel once said, "Camping may have been the only thing Jewish education got right." While a wide menu of Jewish educational models is neccesary, Jewish camp allows us to build our own ideal, and totally immersive, Jewish communities, based on the Jewish values and outlooks that bind as well as distinguish us. The measure of success for camps is the way in which Jews live out the values and lifestyles these camps foster during the summer.

What are you looking forward to most in entering Project InCITE?
I am most looking forward to seeing what other Jewish educators are up to these days and having the chance to learn from some of the other professionals in this field.
